In all honesty, there were at least four couples I knew who had gotten engaged, and at least two couples who had gotten married within a short timeframe, and it was like the LDR gods were mocking me. But seriously, I was ecstatic and happy for the couples, just a little envious that CK and I not able to do the same just yet.

Shared Interests, pt. 1
He didn't really spit out his coffee... But he looked at me with a tone of voice that implied coffee spillage.

Communication
Aside from telling my own LDR story, I also wanted to include other people's. So please, don't be shy! Share your LDR experiences, the good, the hard, and the funny.
Completely unrelated to this post... I did not realize how much went into a webcomic. Not the webcomic content itself, but the layout. Gods, it has been a pain. I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate navigation icons (first, previous, next, last) into the layout I already have, but to no avail. Oh, and putting a blog section on the same page as the comic but in a completely separate section. I'll figure it out eventually (likely with the help of a computer savvy person), but for now, I've changed the archive on the right column to make it more reader friendly.

Showing that you care
The irony about this post is that I had set my alarm to the right time to say good morning, but didn't activate it. Luckily, Lilli was wanting to go out at ridiculous o' clock, so I did manage to see him.

Saturday Mornings
Immediately after I started this project, I was hit with a block. So CK came up with this funny idea (not that this has happened of course... ;) ).

The Distance
And so it begins! Welcome, dear readers, to One Day Closer, a mostly autobiographical webcomic about my experience being in a long distance relationship (LDR).
The goal of this webcomic is to draw and upload comics until CK (i.e., "Lovey", "the Man", "Sexy Chem Teacher") and I (Morri) finally close the distance for good. When that does happen, I hope to turn my artwork into a book.
